oh, just get a pair!

of fenders!

Rider on the Soggy Bottom, after arriving at
the Devil's Creek trailhead on Saturday.
(Yes, he knew I was taking this.)

To paraphrase Jon: If you're not going to use fenders today, when the hell are you going to use them!?

Mmmm. They* may not be as sexy as that new
titanium-carbon whatchamagottahave, but
they served me well on the Soggy.

*These fenders are made by SKS who did not pay me to say that I like them, but I do.

Hi Rosemary
I wondered whether you would be interested in writing an introduction to Alaska for us? I work for the GUardian newspaper travel section and I edit a readers' section of the website called Been there. It's a bit like Trip Advisor. We have different places and I'm creating Alaska as it doesn't sit on the site independently yet. What I'm starting to do is get local people to write the intros to each place and I wondered whether you would be interested in doing this one? It doesn't have to be too long, just why you like it there, what it's got going for it and then a few things like your favourite cafe, bike route etc. In return we would link directly to your site and would be happy to link to any of the places you mention. I know that that's not payment but Been there doesn't really have budget - it's more social interaction.
Anyway it would be ace if you fancied it. You can get me on susan(dot)greenwood(@)guardian(dot)co(dot)uk
